Satellite Signal Connection Modes
The TBS6916 supports different satellite signal distribution configurations to suit professional installations:
- Multiswitch mode: Four RF inputs can be connected to the corresponding satellite polarization outputs of a Quattro LNB or multiswitch.
- Quad LNB mode: Connect the four LNB outputs directly to the card's four RF inputs.
- Direct connection mode: Distributes each RF input among a group of four tuners. Tuners sharing the same input must operate with compatible polarization and switching conditions.
- Unicable mode: A compatible Unicable signal can be connected to the designated LNB3 input according to the manufacturer's configuration instructions.
The correct connection mode must be selected according to the satellite distribution system and the desired tuner configuration.
Software Compatibility
The TBS6916 is designed for professional Linux-based TV servers and DVB streaming applications. Compatible software may include:
- Cesbo Astra
- TVHeadend
- VDR
- Other compatible Linux DVB and IPTV streaming applications
Compatibility depends on the installed Linux kernel, TBS driver version and the selected application. Check the manufacturer's driver package before deployment.
